Constructed across the southern end of the huge Hunanzhen Reservoir, the Wuxijiang bridge is another one of China's popular CFST or Concrete Filled Steel Tubular arches. The large main span of 260 meters is approximately 57 meters above the lake and 110 meters above the original river level. The road deck is supported on a total of 17 spans of 16 meters for a total length of 376 meters.
